For all those vault-dwellers out there who were planning on exploring West Virginia this week, we have some bad news. Fallout 76 will not be released in SA on its scheduled launch day, 14 November 2018, due to logistics issues out of local control. This goes for the disc-based copies of the game across PS4, Xbox One and PC.
According to the popular local retailer, BT Games, the issue stems from international logistics challenges faced by suppliers during the busiest time of the year. According to the Facebook post, the game has yet to arrive in SA so the planned release date has been pushed back.
Vault announcement… Reclamation day has been delayed. Due to international logistic challenges faced by our suppliers during this busy time of year, Fallout 76 stock has not yet arrived in SA. We will not be able to make the release date as planned and we apologise for the inconvenience. BT Games will update our pre-order clients as and when we get updates from our supplier.
BT Games has not shared a new release date for the title yet and local distributors are waiting for feedback from the UK offices on an ETA. We will have an update on the delay as soon as possible.
I played a lot of the BETA on PS4 during its testing phase and thought the game was pretty cool. While it may seem different from the outside, much of the game’s mechanics are still present and the core of what makes Fallout so great is still felt throughout the game. Check out our full preview of the upcoming title here and in the video below.
