The International 2019 Day One Fantasy Challenge Roster Picks

Fantasy Challenge day 3 The International 2019

Except for watching all the matches live, my favourite thing to do during The International is making those Fantasy Challenge roster picks each day and competing on the leaderboards with the goal of making it to the top 10%, which will reward Dota 2 Battle Pass owners with 16,000 Battle Points. Tomorrow, the first day of The International 2019 gets underway and the Fantasy Challenge roster for Day 1 locks at 03:00 South African time on 15 August 2019.

I’ve already discussed all the details and provided our readers with seven must-know tips for the Fantasy Challenge in the article above. From today until The International 2019’s grand finals complete, I will be providing you with my Fantasy Challenge roster picks at roughly 15:00 SA time each day.

Not everyone has the time to do all the research required to make the best picks so feel free to copy my picks. The last two years I easily made it into the top 10% even with some mistakes. This year, I can almost guarantee that if you follow my picks each day, you will also make it into the top 10%. Check out my Fantasy Challenge roster for Day 1 of The International 2019.

Having gold cards are nice and gives you that extra little point boost, but even with silver or common cards, this Fantasy Challenge roster should do very well.

For these picks, I took into account only the teams that are scheduled to play three matches on the day, which all come from Group A. Just don’t pick any players from Alliance, Newbee or Mineski, as these teams and everyone from Group B will only be playing two matches on Day 1 of the group stages.

It is a little tougher on the first day of The International 2019 to make the best roster picks, as player performance for this year is still unknown. Further, some general rules to follow is that you should never pick a PO3 as one of your cores, you should pick players from teams that you think will have longer matches and prioritize picks based on player stats combined with their position.
