In 1984 he promised us he would be back, and he has kept that promise throughout many Terminator movies. Now, Arnold Schwarzenegger is back once again in the first trailer for the upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate movie, reprising his iconic role as T-800 Model 101.
Not only is Arnold Schwarzenegger back to reprise his role for the new movie, but Linda Hamilton also reprises her role as Sarah Connor. She first played Sarah Connor in the 1984 movie, The Terminator, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. The two returned for Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Linda Hamilton didn’t return for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, which still starred Arnold Schwarzenegger. The star did not feature in the 2009 Terminator Salvation movie, which saw Christian Bale portray the role of John Connor. Arnold Schwarzenegger returned in 2015’s Terminator Genesys alongside Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke who portrayed the role of Sarah Connor.
Now, both the original cast members are back for Terminator: Dark Fate. This new movie will follow the events of 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Sarah Connor is on a mission to protect a young woman (portrayed by Natalia Reyes) and her friends as a new and more deadly version of the Terminator (portrayed by Gabriel Luna) was sent from the future to terminate them.
James Cameron didn’t come back to direct Terminator: Dark Fate, which is being directed by Tim Miller. James Cameron is involved in the new Terminator movie as the producer. Other cast members include Mackenzie Davis and Diego Boneta. The movie is intended to reboot the Terminator franchise and pave a way for a new generation to tell the Terminator story.
