Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2019 – Galaxy S10, Everything You Need To Know And How to Watch

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is set to take place tomorrow (on 20 February 2019). During this event, Samsung is expected to reveal its latest Galaxy devices for the year. This year’s Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is especially exciting because there are SO MANY new products the company is rumoured to be releasing. From foldable phones, to punch hole designs, to awesome accessories, these are the things we’re most excited about finding out during the event.

Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus

As with previous years’ events, we can expect that the South Korean company will be unveiling two flagship devices. As last year’s models were dubbed the S9 and S9 Plus and, as the tease for the event has “10” all over it, it’s safe to assume that Samsung’s next flagship devices will be the S10 and S10 Plus.

Apparently, the devices aren’t major upgrades to their predecessors. The devices will apparently have 6.1″ and 6.3″ displays and will feature AMOLED Gorilla Glass 6 panels at 3040×1440 QHD+ resolution. Both devices are reportedly shipping with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor or the latest Exynos 9820 SoC chip.

The biggest upgrades are reportedly in the design of each of the new phones, with both expected to feature a new punch hole design for their cameras.

Foldable Phone

Based on the tease for the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, the rumoured foldable Galaxy phone is definitely happening. It looks like the first foldable phone from Samsung will be called the Galaxy F, for fold presumably. The rumoured device will unfold from a 4.58″ phone to a 7.3″ phablet. This is super exciting, as Samsung would be the first major mobile company to release a foldable phone onto the mass market.

Two Other Smartphones

There are some details floating around that Samsung will be releasing two other smartphones. If these rumours are true, the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will be revealing 5 smartphones.

A cheaper version apparently called the S10e, which will be smaller, but be as powerful internally as the other devices, will also be unveiled during the event. It won’t have such a jacked up camera system as the expected S10 and S10 Plus and it will obviously a simpler version.

There’s also reportedly another smartphone being unveiled during the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. The S10 X will apparently be Samsung’s first 5G phone, and not a lot of other details are available right now surrounding this rumoured device.

Fitness Trackers

Through a leak of its own, Samsung’s own Galaxy Wearable app listed three new wearables which will presumably be unveiled during the Galaxy Unpacked event. The Galaxy Watch Active 40mm smartwatch, the Galaxy Fit fitness tracker, and the Galaxy Fit e fitness tracker were all listed on the Samsung Wearable app, which used to be called Samsung Gear.

Galaxy Buds

As if Samsung didn’t have enough devices and accessories to unveil during its upcoming event. The above leak also included Galaxy Buds. These wireless earphones from Samsung are so intriguing because they can apparently be charged wirelessly, directly using either the new Galaxy S10 or S10 Plus.

Will Samsung be unveiling four smartphones, as well as its first foldable phone and the first foldable phone from a major mobile manufacturer? Will the company be releasing two fitness trackers, along with a new smartwatch? We will all be watching the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event to see which of these rumours become a reality.
