The Resident Evil 2 Remake is set to release on 25 January and it is one of my most anticipated games of 2019. Any Resident Evil should be excited about this remake as it is looking amazing so far. It has been 20 years since Capcom introduced us to Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, so what are 2 more months of waiting? Well, you might not even have to wait that long as it looks like a Resident Evil 2 demo could arrive in December.
Keep in mind that Capcom has not officially announced that there will be a Resident Evil 2 demo yet, so take the information with a grain of salt. With that being said, this is either an accurate leak or one of the most elaborate and detailed photoshop works of all time.
This month, a new Twitter account popped up with the name Anthony_Robert and it quickly started sharing images and details about a Resident Evil 2 demo. From the looks of it, this person could be someone close to Capcom and seems to have a PS4 development console.
First, the details. The Resident Evil 2 demo will be available from mid-December and open to everyone on PS4, Xbox One and PC, with no need to pre-order the game. A new trailer will also drop early in December when the announcement will presumably be made, my guess is at The Game Awards.
Now, onto the images and a video shared by Anthony Robert on Twitter that makes me believe this is very real. The images below could have been faked yes, but the video might be much harder to do. Check out the two most important Tweets below.

Sure, nothing has been confirmed yet, but this does look like a very legitimate leak right now. Hopefully, this turns out to be true because I, for one, can’t wait to test out the game and if a demo does happen, we will be sure to cover it and bring you all the gory details.
