Millionaires, what would we do without their crazy ideas on how they want to spend their ridiculous money? The latest reckless spender is an unnamed person that wants to set up a real-life, 100-person battle royale event on a private island.
The request comes from Hush Hush which is an online store for the rich and famous that received a request from a person asking for help to turn an island into an arena for a battle-royale inspired “last person standing” contest.
According to the Hush Hush site, they were approached by one of their customers who was on the lookout for a private island where he wanted to set up the championship. Hush Hush would be responsible for setting up this event when the time comes and contestants will be provided with Airsoft guns, ammo and touch-sensitive body armour for the three-day event.
“Battle royale games have become incredibly popular over the last few years ago and our customer is a huge fan who wants to make the game a reality in the safest way possible,” says Hush Hush’s founder Aaron Harpin on the request page. “If the championship is a success this year, it’s something he wants to make an annual event moving forward, which is very exciting!”
The last person that survives the harsh “Airsoft” battle royale would win £100,000 but the conditions would be harsh. The competition will take place across three days with 12 hours of competition each day. If the competitors survive the day, they will set up camp for the night.
All that is needed right now is a “talented gamemaker” to make this all possible according to Hush Hush. People interested in applying for the role of creating this battle royale experience should apply on the site. If you ask me, it sounds pretty epic and I hope if this all turns into a reality, that someone picks up a camera and films the tournament so we can see it go down.
