Earlier this week, we reported on the news that Epic Games would be closing down their free-to-play MOBA title, Paragon. The game will see no further updates and come 26 April 2018, the developer will be shutting down the game’s servers. Now, there is a fan-created petition on Change.org, started by Jude Dobbin from the UK, asking Epic Games to keep Paragon alive by keeping the servers open.
So far, the petition has over 25,000 signatures and it is growing fast. Keep in mind that petitions rarely change anything and Epic Games did say that they made the decision to shut down Paragon after “careful consideration, and many difficult internal debates.” However, if there is a chance that fans can continue playing the game, even if it is just a while longer than 26 April, then it is probably worth signing it.
Read the full petition below:
“Paragon is an amazing game that many of us as players have poured countless hours into. The fact that epic is cancelling this game is incredibly saddening but if
All I want is to come home and be able to turn on paragon and play with my friends, what am I going to do now? Please Epic, re-consider, killing paragon isn't the right move here so everyone please sign this petition for so that maybe we can somehow convince Epic to change the course of this amazing game. Thank you.” – Source
Sure, there have been more times than I can count that petitions do absolutely nothing to change a developer’s mind about something, but as far as petitions go, this one seems like it isn’t asking too much. Instead, it asks to keep the servers open so fans can continue playing the game they love. With that being said, there has been no word from Epic Games yet regarding the petition requests and no telling if there ever will be.
For those who spent money on the game, check out the instructions for a refund below:
- If you’re not playing on PC, link your Epic account (create one if necessary).

PC,or have already linked your Epic account, you can request your refund here.
