At this past weekend’s PlayStation Experience, Sony announced that all PlayStation VR owners would be able to play The Last Guardian VR for free. It’s a standalone experience and doesn’t require the base game, only the PlayStation VR.
The Last Guardian is an exceptional game; it emerged from development hell after almost a decade, but when we finally got to play it, our reviewer described the game as “a modern marvel the world needs,” and “a marvel not only of the medium but of all art and of human genius.” To experience the game in VR, especially the interaction with Trico, will be something not to be missed.
