Players took to the usual venting area, Reddit, to share the frustrations they are having with the game. One user on the Anthem sub-Reddit explained that he had been experiencing some serious issues with the game on PS4. The user, forthemasters, claims that he would get an error, where the game would go back to the main menu or would crash completely. He also claims that his entire PS4 console would crash during some matchmaking. We also experienced many bugs when we reviewed the game. Other users joined his thread on Reddit to confirm that they were experiencing similar issues.
When encountering a crash or game error, sometimes I get booted to the main menu or out of the game completely to the PS4 dashboard. But twice now when trying to matchmake my PS4 has completely turned off. Don’t worry about the loot patch ffs, sort the bugs out first please
Now, it appears like Sony’s aware of the issues on PS4 and have been granting Anthem refunds to players who purchased a digital copy of the game via the PlayStation Store. Apparently, the process for the Anthem refunds is pretty simple with users claiming that the process took mere minutes. Reddit user, SoundAndFury 87, claims that Sony is offering these complete Anthem refunds “no questions asked“.
Sony is aware of the issue and is offering a complete refund on Anthem no questions asked. Took me 5 minutes.
Many other users have also started to comment on the thread on the game’s sub-Reddit that Sony’s offering Anthem refunds for digital purchases of the game.
Whether Sony will continue to be so generous with giving out Anthem refunds remains to be seen, with the game hopefully improving in performance in the weeks following its launch.
Do you think Anthem will be able to be updated to make it better?
