This is what you will need to run Sea of Thieves in 4K 60 FPS on PC

It’s time to smash a bottle of rum against your PC, or even that crappy gaming laptop that's gathering dust in the drawer. Rare announced the PC requirements to play Sea of Thieves, and it supports under-powered rigs that only have integrated graphics to monsters that can play at 4K resolution and 60fps. There are only two non-negotiables; it must run on Windows 10, and have 60GB of hard drive space.

The minimum graphics setting is aptly called “Cursed” and the ultra setting “Mythical.” There is a total number of six graphics settings to select from, with the traditional minimum setting running the game at 720p and 30fps, and the recommended running it at 1080p and 60fps.

“Our rendering team set themselves the goal early on of “how low can we go”, sometimes also referred to fondly as “getting the game running on a potato”, which is why we want to deliver a great version of the game even for those with computers below our official minimum spec,” explains PC Design Lead, Ted Timmins.

“The game is perfectly playable at 540p, and one of the advantages of Xbox Play Anywhere is that if you own an Xbox One AND a low-spec laptop you can still take full advantage of it, and we absolutely encourage it! Of course, if you have a beast of a rig running at 4k/60, we’ve got you covered with the best looking #GreatWater, and everything in between!”
