Shadow of the Tomb Raider PC requirements detailed

Shadow of the Tomb Raider releases in less than two weeks, and we finally have the official PC requirements as listed on the games’ Steam page. It is the first triple A game that makes use of Nvidia’s new ray-tracing technology that promises to deliver “a level of fidelity you could previously only dream of.”

These spectacular visuals will only be available to those who own NVIDIA’s next-gen graphics cards; and if you’re in the market for one, then check out our GeForce RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti South African pre-order price lists. Shadow of the Tomb Raider will also be the first game to showcase Nvidia’s RTX Ray Traced Shadows feature.

According to the announcement, Nvidia can now also render “lifelike shadows and shadow interactions, at high levels of detail, throughout every scene, with translucency.”

The PC version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider will also include other Nvidia tech like high quality anti-aliasing, enhanced geometric detail, higher contrast, more vivid colours, and enhanced surface definition.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider releases on September 14. You might not be able to play it with one of the new graphics cards, but at least you should be able to enjoy it on the recommended settings. Here’s a quick look at what you will be missing.
