Square Enix wants to take E3 2019 by storm, with their powerhouse offerings at their conference. They have solidified this with the reveal of their latest co-op shooter – Outriders.
In Outriders, you can play the game with up to two extra teammates. The title has bee created by the minds behind Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgement, so it’s safe to say that they know a thing or two about creating shooters.
Players have the ability to create their own Outrider, and it would appear that players must survive together to take on hordes of enemies and special creatures of this unknown world.
More information will be available in winter which is ironic, considering that Outriders’ main theme revolves around having the characters in ice. The game looks to be more PvE, than PvP. The game looks visually impressive, but gameplay will determine where our hearts stand with Square Enix’s latest IP.
Square Enix seems to be taking a new direction with Outriders. While it doesn’t traditionally state it’s a singe-player game. Outriders seems like it can be both a immersive single-player and co-op title.
Square Enix won’t keep us waiting forever (we hope), but we should expect more focus on the next Avengers’ game for the next few months. With that in mind, Square Enix will have to live up to the bar that they have set with previous titles.
While the game has no definite release date, Outriders is just another staple in the Square Enix roster that we can be excited to play.
