World Record for Highest Xbox Gamerscore Is Now Two Million

Highest Xbox Gamerscore

On Wednesday, 21 November 2018, Ray “Stallion83” Cox broke the world record for the highest Xbox Gamerscore. He broke the previous record of 1,960,318 held by smrnov. Stallion83 was also the first person to reach the one million Xbox Gamerscore mark back in 2014. The year before that, at the launch of the Xbox One, Microsoft awarded him with the Xbox Live Gold Lifetime Membership Award – the only one in existence.

Cox announced the news of his latest victory via his Twitter account.

According to True Achievements, only 50 Xbox players currently have over one million Xbox Gamerscore points. It is a tremendous achievement to accumulate so much points, let alone the time it would need!

When Cox reached the one million Xbox Gamerscore mark, Xbox gave him a special controller with that magical number engraved on it. He now also have an Xbox One controller with the two million engraving. In an interview with Guinness World Records, Cox explains that he uses these controllers only to reach a milestone, and thereafter, it goes into his display case.

Will his next achievement be to beat the highest Xbox Gamerscore and go for three million?

This I don’t know,. Two million has taken 13 years now. I got my first achievement on 22 November 2005. So, I did the 2 million almost 13 years to the day. I’ll always love video games and achievements and I’ll always be playing and going for them.

Two million Gamerscore

Cox featured in the 2010, 2011, and 2019 Gamer’s Edition of the Guinness World Records. He is the embodiment of what it means to be a Completionist. His favourite game franchise is, you guessed it, Halo. He is such a fan that he played Halo 2 multiplayer for over a year – only Halo 2 multiplayer. That same madness grabbed me when I played Team Fortress 2 and World of Warcraft. Have you ever only played a single game for a year or more?
