The Outer Worlds Release Date Leaked Via Steam

Outer Worlds

When Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds got announced at The Game Awards 2018 in December, it instantly went on my most-anticipated upcoming games list. The Outer Worlds looks like a Sci-Fi Fallout and in case you didn’t know, Obsidian is responsible for Fallout: New Vegas, largely considered to be one of the best Fallout games ever created. Although an official The Outer Worlds release date has not been announced, this leak might make Obsidian fans mark their calendars in anticipation.

For those of you who have been living on a space rock, The Outer Worlds is a Sci-Fi RPG developed by Obsidian and Private Division. It is said to be an open-world, story-driven experience where the player has quite a lot of freedom, including the ability to kill every NPC in the game.

For fans of Obsidian’s work, the game looks fantastic and I, for one, have already marked my calendar in the hopes that The Outer Worlds release date that leaked is real. The game’s release date quickly appeared and disappeared on Steam as 6 August 2019. SteamDB captured this information which you can check out here, showing that the release date got removed.

It isn’t impossible at all that someone made an error, clicking the wrong button before the release date was supposed to go up. It could also just be a technical error and The Outer Worlds release date could be something entirely different. We already know that The Outer Worlds is slated for release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2019, so this August release date definitely isn’t far-fetched.

For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, check out The Outer Worlds’ announcement trailer below and then tell us if you are hyped for Obsidian’s next big title in the comment section.
