New Red Band Hellboy Trailer Is Hellishly Good

Hellboy trailer

The “Red Band” Hellboy trailer has arrived and it brings all the heat. The new rebooted Hellboy stars David Harbour (Jim Hopper in Stranger Things) as the demonic superhero. Hellboy, which was created by Mike Mignola, was turned into a popular movie franchise back in 2004. Then, Ron Perlman portrayed the role of Hellboy. A sequel, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, was then released in 2008. The previous movies were rated PG-13, but as the new Hellboy trailer shows you, the upcoming reboot will be rated R.

The new trailer is full of Hellboy gore, violence and some sarcastic fun, too. But mostly it’s pretty hellishly brutal, so the R rating seems appropriate. Firstly, what fans of the franchise will notice is that David Harbour’s Hellboy looks a lot scarier than the previous versions, with his face and body having big scars and gashes. This new version Hellboy feels rougher around the edges than the previous version. For instance, David Harbour’s Hellboy has long, stringy hair. Whereas, Ron Perlman’s Hellboy looked like he cleaned up a little better.

Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.

In the new Hellboy trailer, we get a good look at some of the other famous cast members, which includes the awesome Milla Jovovich. Sasha Lee, Penelope Mitchell, Ian McShane, and Daniel Dae Kim all join the cast of the new Hellboy movie.

The new Hellboy movie was directed by Neil Marshall and will be released in April 2019. Until then, you can watch the hot as hell “Red Band” Hellboy trailer below and prepare yourself for the R-rated gore, horror, and action.
