Obsidian Entertainment is teasing a new game reveal that is taking place next week at The Game Awards 2018. The developer’s website has been updated with different teaser ads and a timer that is counting down to The Game Awards. Could this be the Obsidian Entertainment RPG that has been rumoured to be in development?
Obsidian has not revealed anything about the game as of yet but we know it is a new RPG developed in partnership with Fallout co-creators Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky. The teaser images don’t give us a clear indication on what the game could be but the art style seems to point to a sci-fi era similar to Prey 2017. One ad is showing off a pistol with the caption “Ir’s not the best choice, it’s Spacer’s Choice”. Another brand is called Aunty Cleo’s and is advertising healing ointments and bread.
The art has a very 1920s vibe to it and we cannot wait to see what comes out of the reveal. Obsidian Entertainment has been working on the RPG for a while now and it is not likely that it will be released as an Xbox One exclusive. Microsoft may have bought the studio but this was after Obsidian Entertainment entered a publishing deal with Take Two’s new indie publishing label, Private Division.
The Game Awards 2018 takes place next week Friday, 7 December at 03:30 in SA. If you are not staying up to watch it then we will have you covered with all the trailers and gameplay you could ever ask for. According to reports, 10 games will be revealed at the awards next week so we cannot wait to see them all.
