After weeks of leaks, Google hosted their annual Pixel event last night in which the company revealed their latest smartphone range to the world. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will challenge the smartphone market with new AI features and some pretty powerful internal specs.
Most noticeable on both devices is the massive display which Google has made to support HDR+. The Pixel 3 features a Galaxy S9-like bezel while the Pixel 3 XL looks very iPhone X with its middle notch. Both devices will ship with Android 9.0 and a load of AI features such as the ability to automatically reject spam calls, photography enhancements and much more. Google has really upped their game this year with the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL and the specs show. However, Google has ditched the headphone jack as well as the ability to upgrade your storage with no Micro SD slot at all. New features of the Pixel 3 range include wireless charging for the first time and along with that, Google will sell an official Pixel 3 wireless charger that you can purchase separately for around $79.
Of course, the Pixel 3 is never available locally but there is always an option to import it through online retailers. The device is launching on 1 November 2018.
