Sir Daniel Fortesque is back and more undead than ever. To celebrate Halloween yesterday, Sony released the first trailer for the upcoming remake of MediEvil for PlayStation 4 and it looks simply amazing.
The game was first announced at last year’s PlayStation Experience event as a remaster but it seems that it is actually a complete remake. Shawn Layden, Chairman of Sony Interactive Worldwide Studios, took to the PlayStation Blog to reveal more details about the upcoming PS4 exclusive saying that the game is a complete remake and will follow the infamous Sir Daniel Fortesque through his journey of redemption as he faces the evil Lord Zarok that seeks to conquer the Kingdom of Gallowmere.
Layden originally worked on the first MediEvil that released back on the first PlayStation. The game was also released on the PSP as MediEvil Ressurection. He pitched the current game as a remaster but it seems that Sony and Other Ocean Interactive changed their mind and decided to build the game from the ground up again. We aren’t complaining really.
The game will run at native 4K on the PS4 Pro according to the trailer and is due to release sometime in 2019.
