New Mortal Kombat 11 Trailer Confirms Kitana and New Character Cetrion is Revealed

Kitana

Mortal Kombat 11’s 23 April release date is rapidly approaching. As we get closer to more gore and guts, some classic and completely new characters are being revealed to join the roster of playable characters. A favourite of the franchise, Kitana, has now been confirmed to be part of Mortal Kombat 11 and we can’t wait to use her to slice up opponents. Another new character, Cetrion, has also been added to the roster.

Kitana has been part of the Mortal Kombat franchise since 1993 when she was introduced as one of the new playable characters for Mortal Kombat II. Now, this fierce fighter is back for Mortal Kombat 11. Revealed in a new TV spot trailer, Kitana is now officially part of the roster. The TV spot also features other confirmed characters represented by real people including Raiden and Sub Zero. Kitana and Scorpion then face off, and we can’t wait to play these characters in the upcoming game.

Another new Mortal Kombat 11 character was revealed. Called Cetrion, this controller of elements use her powers over nature to take her opponents down. We’re shown in her reveal trailer how she uses a summoning spell to use vines from the earth to retrain her opponents to then blast them with fire. Her control over ground is also showcased in her reveal trailer, as she uses the earth to block and hit her opponents. Her Fatality also involves rocks which she summons from the ground, and then an epic display of her Goddess powers as she becomes larger than the entire world and shoots out an energy beam. It’s all beautifully brutal.

Kitana and the new character Cetrion, along with the confirmed new and old characters will all be available to play when Mortal Kombat 11 releases on 23 April 2019 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. If you pre-order the game, you get access to Shao Kahn on launch, otherwise he will be part of the DLC.

We recently took the beta for a spin and we loved it, check out our experience below.

Stay tuned as we bring you a full look at all the confirmed characters closer to the game’s release, as well as everything else Mortal Kombat 11 related.
