Iron Man Isn’t Coming Back: Detail In New Spider-Man Trailer May Suggest It

Iron Man

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home, was released last week. The teaser trailer has some fun and thrilling moments to catch, with one small detail possibly pointing towards the end of Iron Man.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is set for release after Avengers: Endgame. So fans of the MCU have been arguing that a new, very small and brief detail in the new teaser trailer for Spider-Man might suggest that Iron Man doesn’t make it through Avengers: Endgame.

The detail in question can be seen at the beginning of the new teaser trailer for Spider-Man. Peter Parker (portrayed by Tom Holland) aka Spider-Man is joined by Aunt May (portrayed by Marisa Tomei) and Happy Hogan (portrayed by Jon Favreau) during a press conference, that looks to be to part of a fundraiser. Now, fans have argued that it might be a fundraiser in memory of the late and great Iron Man (portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.).

The reason why the fundraiser event is believed to be a way of honouring the memory of Iron Man, is based on a small detail spotted in the new teaser trailer. The detail in question involves a giant donation cheque, which Happy Hogan can be seen carrying in the new teaser trailer. If you look closely at the donor’s signature, you will notice that it’s from Pepper Potts (portrayed by Gwenyth Paltrow) – the CEO of Stark Enterprises.

Of course, it can be argued that, because Pepper Potts is the CEO of Stark Enterprises, she’s the one who signs the cheques. However, some fans believe this to mean that Iron Man aka Tony Stark doesn’t make it out alive from Avengers: Endgame. The theory is further supported by Spider-Man/Peter Parker’s hesitation in taking his Spider-Man suit with him on a Euro trip, which could suggest that he is in a mourning period and needs the time away to clear his thoughts. Then again, everyone seems awfully cheerful during the press conference. So, who knows? It could be an insignificant detail, or it could spell the end of the Iron Man era. Also, it hasn’t been confirmed that Spider-Man: Far From Home takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. All we know right now is that Far From Home is released after Endgame, but the timelines haven’t been confirmed yet.

If you’re a Marvel fan, then you know that Peter Parker and Tony Stark share a cool bond. So, if all of these clues are true, prepare to be super emotional about Iron Man in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Infinity War left the fate of many Marvel superheroes up in the air, so fans are anxious to see what happens to their favourites.

Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into cinemas in July 2019, while Avengers: Endgame comes out in April 2019.

Do you think this clue suggests the end of Iron Man?
