The next free game from the Epic Games Store is Transistor, created by Supergiant Games, the same people who brought you the awesome Bastion. The game is an ARPG set in a Sci-Fi universe with turn-based elements. Transistor has scored extremely well with gamers and critics alike, amassing a “Very Positive” user review rating on Steam after 20,000 reviews.

Transistor also won a few awards, such as the BAFTA’s Best Musical Score in 2014 and Gametrailer’s Best Strategy. I’ve personally played and enjoyed every moment of the game and soon, you can too. Transistor will be free on the Epic Games Store starting 18 April until 2 May.

If you really need more convincing to mark those calendars and grab Transistor when it goes free on the Epic Games Store, well then check out the game’s description and trailer below.

From the creators of Hades and Bastion, Transistor is a sci-fi themed action RPG that invites you to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as you fight through a stunning futuristic city.

Transistor seamlessly integrates thoughtful strategic planning into a fast-paced action experience, melding responsive gameplay and rich atmospheric storytelling. During the course of the adventure, you will piece together the Transistor’s mysteries as you pursue its former owners.
