Fortnite Creative Mode Announced & Server Downtime Before Season 7

Fortnite Creative

There’s a lot to look forward to for the millions upon millions of Fortnite players out there. Season 7 kicks off today after some downtime and it has pretty much been confirmed that it will be a snowy season. With Season 7 comes a new battle pass, new cosmetics and more. However, Epic didn’t stop there as they announced Fortnite Creative mode.

With the addition of Fortnite Creative, the game will now have three main modes, including the free-to-play Battle Royale and the buy-to-play campaign. This announcement came as a bit of a surprise, as one would think that Season 7 and a new Battle Pass would be enough on one day. However, it is the season of giving, so Epic decided to give us an entire new mode to enjoy. Epic explains what the mode is all about:

It’s a brand new way to experience the world of Fortnite, available on December 6. Design games, race around the island, battle your friends in new ways and build your dream Fortnite. It’s all happening on your own private island where everything you make is saved.

Fortnite Creative is new and exciting, but not final. We’ll be adding many new features and improvements over the next few updates. Like Battle Royale and Save the World, we’re committed to making this bigger and better over time.

Excited yet? Well, you can start playing the mode today if you purchase a Season 7 Battle Pass, while all players will be able to play the Fortnite Creative for free starting 13 December. Server downtime to unleash Season 7 and Fortnite Creative will start at roughly 11:00 SA time today (6 December 2018) and you can expect the servers to go live again sometime this afternoon.
