Dota 2 and Anti-Dandruff Collide in Russian Commercial

Dota 2 and Anti-Dandruff

As esports continue to grow and become more and more mainstream, this flaky situation was inevitable. Dota 2 and Anti-Dandruff have collided in a new Russian commercial for the popular shampoo, Head & Shoulders and it is equal parts cringe and epic. The commercial features Russian Dota 2 superstar, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev and everyone should watch it.

Dota 2 and Anti-Dandruff

For those of you who don’t follow professional Dota 2, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev is the young carry player for Virtus.pro. The Russian team were a dominating force throughout the 2017/2018 DPC season, claiming more Majors then any other team have before them.

The commercial shows RAMZES666 walking around with an Arctis 3 headset from SteelSeries, showcasing his cool haircut and absolutely no dandruff at all. RAMZES666 seems to really be enjoying himself there and honestly, even though it still feels a bit cringy, is probably the best anti-dandruff commercial I have ever seen. Here’s what he had to say about becoming an ambassador for the brand:

I’m flattered to become the face of such a universally acclaimed brand as Head and Shoulders. I’ve learned from experience that it’s always important not to give up but to keep working towards your goal as in the game, as in real life

Although the commercial is in Russian, it is still well worth a watch and I can just imagine what they are saying. Although it might seem quite funny to some, you have to remember that this is a great step for esports stars. Maybe one day we might see commercials featuring esports stars right here in South Africa. Wouldn’t that just be grand to have esports stars recognized in the same light as professional athletes?
