Devil May Cry 5 at 4K and 60 FPS on the PS4 Pro Confirmed

Devil May Cry 5 Game Length

We are all pretty excited to step back into the boots of Dante for in March next year even though we learned that the game will have microtransactions where you can purchase those Red Orbs with real money. The PC system requirements for the game were also recently revealed, but how will the PS4 Pro handle the game. Well, I am happy to report that according to Capcom, Devil May Cry 5 at 4K and 60 FPS on Sony’s mid-gen console upgrade is a thing.

Replying to a fan on Twitter, Matt Walker, a producer at Capcom, confirmed that the game will run at 4K and 60 FPS. This would be quite the technical achievement and showcase the power of the RE Engine. It will be exciting to see the RE Engine flex its muscles, especially since the engine is also used for the Resident Evil 2 Remake.

However, there are definitely doubts about Devil May Cry 5 at 4K and 60 FPS, specifically, if the game will run in native 4K or get the upscaling treatment. Native 4K doesn’t happen very often and truth be told, there isn’t much of a difference between native and upscaling from my experience.

With that in mind, even if it Devil May Cry 5 runs in 4K using a technique like Checkerboarding, it will surely look fantastic and deliver a smooth gaming experience. We will have to wait and see how the Xbox One X runs the game too, but with the additional power of the X, there might be a possibility for native 4K on Microsoft’s mid-gen console upgrade option.

Devil May Cry 5 releases on 8 March 2018 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and we can’t be more excited.

Do you own a PS4 Pro and will you be playing Devil May Cry 5 when it gets released next year? Let us know in the comment section below.
