Ryan Reynolds – star of the least family-friendly superhero franchise movie, ever – has confirmed that Deadpool 3 has started production while promoting Deadpool 2’s Chinese release.
Ryan Reynolds used a recent press tour to promote the Chinese cinematic release of Deadpool 2, as an opportunity to confirm that Deadpool 3’s production is underway. The news that a Deadpool 3 is definitely being made is not the only thing Ryan Reynolds revealed while promoting Deadpool 2’s upcoming release in China. A re-cut, PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 will be releasing for the first time in China on 25 January 2019. The same re-cut was released in December 2018, as Once Upon A Deadpool. The Chinese translation for the name of the Deadpool 2 PG-13 version, is Deadpool 2: I Love My Family
Chinese sensory laws are known to be very strict. Many big blockbusters never officially get released in Chinese cinemas, so Ryan Reynolds was apparently very excited to be there to promote Deadpool 2 for the first time. He even attended the promotional tour, despite having injured his arm and requiring surgery. He apparently told reporters that he canceled his surgery to promote Deadpool 2′ Chinese release.
It’s been a dream of mine for years to bring Deadpool to China and Chinese audiences, so for me this is, uh, heaven on earth.
