At the Game Awards this morning, the rumoured remastered version of CTR: Crash Team Racing was announced and it looks awesome. To celebrate Crash Bandicoot’s 20th anniversary, the popular racing series game will return to modern consoles with a fresh facelift following the tradition of Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy.

The game is called Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and it is the PS1 original but built from the ground up. Beenox has developed the remastered version which will feature all the classic tracks, characters, cars and everything we remember from the original game.
The biggest difference between the original and the remastered is that Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will feature both couch split-screen racing and an online mode too so you can race your friends even if they are not around. Other than that, the game seems to be the same classic masterpiece racer we remember from 1999. Modes like Adventure and Time Trials will be included and all the classic tracks like Slide Coliseum, Turbo Track and more.
Just by looking at the trailer you will be able to spot all the awesome tracks as even though they have been rebuilt from the ground up, they seem to still resemble the original look and feel.
The game will release on 21 June 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Check out the trailer below.
