EA DICE just released the official trailer for Battlefield V War Stories and it will blow you away. For me, one of the highlights of Battlefield 1 was the single-player campaigns, and if the new trailer is anything to go by, it is going to be even better.
The trailer pulls back the curtain to reveal a stage that is set with magnificent props – visually it looks extraordinary. It promises emotionally-filled journeys that will tell the untold stories of World War II. As the narrator pulls you along the drama that unfolds, you long to share the world each character represents.
The War Stories experience is a way for us to put WW2 into perspective through on-the-ground accounts of people wrapped in the broader conflict, told the Battlefield way. In Nordlys, as well as our other War Stories, you won’t come across any super heroes performing crazy stunts and saving the world all by themselves. Instead, you’ll step into the all-too-human shoes of people who, in their own way, played a part in shaping the modern world.
Battlefield V War Stories will take us from the icy reaches of Norway to the deserts of Africa. In Nordlys we play as a female who stands against German occupation to save her family. She will be called upon to “make the ultimate sacrifice.” Tirailleur follows the Senegalese units of the French Colonial Forces. These infantry units represent the first black African Tirailleur regiment recruited by the French to fight in World War II.
In “Under No Flag” we play as a criminal tasked with destroying German air bases in North Africa. In “The Last Tiger” we follow the story of a German Tiger tank crew who questions the ideology that got them to where they are. Why do they fight? Why did they join the war in the first place? At this point, the German Army is in chaos and it is near the end of the war.
