Anthem has been riddled with issues since its 22 February launch and a few patches have already been released to fix some issues. Players have been flocking to Reddit to complain about the issues they’ve been experiencing. Now, the Anthem community manager has responded to some of the hate received by confirming that the game is “here to stay”.
One Reddit user, in particular, harishcs, decided that enough is enough and listed some of the biggest problems with the game on behalf of the Anthem community. BioWare, the developer behind Anthem, also came under fire in this post, being accused of not fixing the issues with the game and for not communicating properly with the Anthem community.
The global Anthem community manager, Jesse Anderson, responded to the post by addressing the issues of the original Reddit point-by-point and complained about the attitude of the players, by asking
Why would a dev team member take time away from working on the next update to post when they know it’s likely to be met with hostile replies, or they get flamed because can’t answer other questions that players are asking?
He continued by asking the Anthem community to be “respectful and constructive with your feedback”.
He then addresses some of the concerns raised in the original Reddit post, touching on issues like why he seems to address minor issues over major issues. He also confirms that BioWare doesn’t ignore feedback from players. He explains that responses to players’ concerns take time as the team needs to discuss issues, fix them, and then provide feedback, seemingly taking this piece of criticism from the Anthem community, personally.
Honestly, reading this stings a bit because I never discard feedback. I love this community and am very thankful for everything that has been brought up such as feedback, bug reports, funny posts (༼ つ ◕◕ ༽つ Summon the loot update ༼ つ ◕◕ ༽つ) and everything in between.
He ends off his response by confirming that Anthem has a future and that issues will be fixed and more new content will be released
All I’ll say on this is that Anthem is here to stay. Do we have a lot of work to do to fix parts of the game? Yes, and the team is committed to making improvements and releasing new content.
Are you giving up on Anthem or are you sticking around?
