At E3 last year, Square Enix didn’t have the best press conference but the publisher did show a very short teaser of Marvel’s Avengers and announced a while back that the game would be fully revealed at E3 2019. Marvel’s Avengers instantly became one of my most anticipated games of E3 2019 and with all the Avengers love after Endgame hit cinemas earlier this year, I am sure many other gamers had this one on their most-hyped list as well. Now, the Marvel’s Avengers release date has been revealed.
First up, let’s get this out of the way, the Marvel’s Avengers release date is 15 May 2020 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia.
Square Enix revealed the Marvel’s Avengers trailer to the world including some gameplay and to quote Keenu Reeves during the Cyberpunk 2077 release date announcement earlier this week, it’s breathtaking. There is just no other way to put it, as the trailer showcases Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Black Widow on a bridge until tragedy strikes. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers must reassemble.
This will be the first title in a multi-game partnership between Marvel and Square Enix and features all the awesome characters in an all-new story with Square Enix’s interpretations of the heroes. Players will be able to jump into the boots of these amazing superheroes in both solo and co-op play with up to three other players.
Dubbed as the “defining Avengers gaming experience”, Marvel’s Avengers is an action-adventure game where players can master extraordinary abilities, customize their heroes and combine their powers to “defend an ever-expanding world under constant threat”.
A description of Marvel’s Avengers reads:
The Marvel’s Avengers release date is 15 May 2020 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia.
