iOS 13 Public Beta Now Live – How to Install on All Your Devices

iOS 13 Public Beta

The iOS 13 Public Beta is now live and available for everyone to install. If you cannot wait to use Apple’s newest OS across your iOS devices then this is the best version to install to experience the new changes.

We covered how to install iOS 13 Beta 2 last week and you can still use that method if you want to take part in the developer beta. Often the Developer Beta is one update ahead of the Public Beta so using that version would be mean access to the latest bug fixes and changes.

iOS 13 Public Beta

Should you install iOS 13 Public Beta? Well, the same story applies to this version. The OS is a bit buggy, things often crash and some apps just don’t look all that together on the platform. It is completely up to you. You can always downgrade back to the latest iOS 12 if you like so backup your devices before you update.

  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone X

Head over to the Apple Beta Software Program website on the device you want to install the software on. Tap “Enroll Your Devices”. Apple will give you a warning asking to backup your iOS device – just agree to that. Click on the “Download Profile” icon. Hit install about three times to get the profile downloaded. It will prompt to now reboot the device.

Once rebooted, head to Settings > General > Software Update and search for the iOS 13 download which will then download and install on your device. As for the Watch OS 6, head to your Apple Watch app > General > Software Update and begin the installation there.

Once you have the iOS 13 public beta up and running, you will receive updates as Apple releases them so be ready to install them every two weeks or so. When the full and official release of the software comes out in September, your device will automatically update to it without any need to restore the software.
