Huawei began its marketing for the Mate 30 series with a couple of tweets using the tagline “Rethink Possibilities”. The Huawei Mate 30 series will be the company’s first device to ship without Google services built into the phone after the company was banned from doing business with American brands.

Huawei did announce its new independent operating system called HarmonyOS a while back which will be used as the replacement for Google’s Android going forward. However, reports claim the company will use an open-source version of Google for this upcoming device.

The Huawei Mate 30 series is said to feature some pretty powerful tech with a Kirin 990 CPU and a large circular module at the back for its camera and a waterfall display.

Besides the phone and the new specs inside, the big focus will be how the company handles its current Android-free approach. Will the company use its new HarmonyOS or stick to the open-source Android? We will know more in the coming weeks as the brand starts to ramp up for its reveal. Of course, the device will probably leak before the event takes place as we have already seen some leaks on Twitter;
