In this new trailer, we get to see Frank Castle aka The Punisher (portrayed by Jon Bernthal) release all hell when he goes up against Billy Russo aka Jigsaw (portrayed by Ben Barnes). Billy Russo is hell-bent on getting his revenge on Frank Castle. The two obviously plan on beating the living hell out of each other, which sets the tone for the entire trailer for season 2 of The Punisher.

Frank Castle was first introduced in episode one of season 2 of Netflix’s Daredevil. Unfortunately, Netflix canned Daredevil after season 3. Other Marvel content has also been cancelled by Netflix, including Iron Fist and Luke Cage. Seeing as more and more Marvel content is being pulled from Netflix’s creative team, The Punisher’s season 2 might be its last, so you better enjoy the below trailer if you’re a fan of the show.

The entire plot for season 2 of this dark and action-packed Netflix show seems to revolve around Billy Russo’s need for revenge after Frank Castle basically bashed his brains in season 1. As Billy Russo recovers from the injuries inflicted on him by Frank Castle, he builds up strength and fury to rain down hell upon his friend-turned-enemy.

Other returning characters include Dinah Madani (portrayed by Amber Rose Revah), John Pilgrim (portrayed by Josh Stewart) and Eliza and Anderson Shultz (portrayed by Annette O’Toole and Corbin Bernsen).

Season 2 of The Punisher debuts exclusively on Netflix on 18 January 2019.

You can read the full synopsis for season 2 of Punisher below.
