There’s this empty feeling that I always get when a The International completes and Valve has filled that feeling with something to look forward to for Dota 2 fans. During the final day of TI9, Valve announced the location for TI10. For the first time since 2011 (the first-ever The International that took place in Germany back in 2011), TI will be returning to Europe.
TI10 will be held in Stockholm, Sweden and you can expect the tournament to take place in August again if history is anything to go by. If Bulldog can’t make it to TI, bring TI to Bulldog, right?
You can watch the announcement video embedded at the bottom of this article. The announcement video kicks things off with showing Na’Vi win the first The International in 2011 and proceeds to show all the winning moments from the previous TI’s. Then, the camera pans over over Stockholm, revealing the location of TI10.
The mayor of Stockholm, Anna König Jerlmyr, explains that:
From the video which you can view below, it is clear that the Main Event of TI10 will be held in the magnificent Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, which has a capacity of 16,000.
Are you already excited for TI10 and what do you think about esports biggest annual Dota 2 tournament finally making its way back to Europe? Let us know in the comment section below.
