The International 2019’s Battle Pass released 55 days ago with the first Immortal Treasure for this year and since then, I’ve been wondering when the Immortal Treasure 2 will release, as well as the Mo’rokai special event. Judging by previous years, the Immortal Treasure 2 should have released roughly two weeks ago, but now, Valve has revealed that it will finally release this Friday, 5 July 2019, alongside the Mo’rokai special event.
Expect some “logging in to game coordinator” issues on Friday as these special events normally bring with them some issues. Even so, it is an exciting time for Battle Pass owners. Hopefully, the Immortal Treasure 2 will hold some rare “battle level” item, or the Mo’rokai event will have new ways to level up that Battle Pass.
The next update will be arriving this Friday, and it will contain the Mo’rokai special event, the Immortal II treasure and the prize pool achievement reward.

For those who haven’t been following The International 2019’s prize pool growth, it became the biggest in esports history and is sitting at over $25.6 million at the time of writing, which is roughly R360 million. To mark this momentous occasion, Valve is giving each Battle Pass owner an additional 10,000 Battle Points, aka 10 levels.
For South Africans, expect the next Dota 2 update with the Immortal Treasure 2 and Mo’rokai event to release in the evening on Friday, or possibly the early hours of Saturday.
Valve clearly knows they are a bit behind schedule with the update and has announced that they will be extending the Battle Pass features to two weeks after The International 2019’s grand finals take place, but you won’t be able to purchase more levels when the dust settles over Shanghai and a champion is crowned.
This news was brought to my attention by local Dota 2 player Fantasy_man.
