Dota 2 Esports – Fnatic Announces New Roster for Upcoming DPC Season

Fnatic Dota 2 esports new roster DPC season

It is no secret that Fnatic didn’t do all too well during TI9, dropping out in the first round of the Main Event’s lower bracket, resulting in a 13th-16th place finish. Some Dota 2 esports fans may think that Fnatic underperformed at TI9 and they would probably be right. Now, Fnatic has announced their new roster for the upcoming DPC season.

The new Fnatic roster looks quite strong as the organization aims “to find improvement and consistency going into another DPC season” following their disappointing result at TI9. There are two new additions to the Fnatic roster, namely Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon, a rising star in the SEA region and Kam “Moon” Boon Seng who has moved from the Mineski roster to join Fnatic.

In the Dota 2 esports announcement, the team was revealed:

#1: Nuengnara ‘23savage’ Teeramahanon
#2: Kam ‘Moon’ Boon Seng
#3: Daryl Koh ‘iceiceice’ Pei Xiang
#4: Djardel ‘DJ’ Mampusti
#5: Anucha ‘Jabz’ Jirawong

You will see that Abed is missing from the team as he has been replaced by Moon. Abed “Abed” Yusop explains that:

I’d like to thank Fnatic and everyone for believing in me. I’ve enjoyed and learned a lot in the last two years. It was a pleasure to be a part of this team and I’ll always be grateful for the opportunity. I wish them good luck in their future endeavours.

So who is this new PO1 player Fnatic is incredibly excited to have on their roster going into the new DPC season? The organization explains in the announcement that:

Despite being just 17-years old, 23savage comes as no stranger to those who watched the Southeast Asian TI9 Qualifiers, where he and Park ‘March’ Tae-won’s Team Jinesbrus, who went on to coach Fnatic during TI9, fell just one game short of qualification against Mineski. Now alongside Thai compatriot, Anucha ‘Jabz’ Jirawong, who will leave his brief stint as carry to return to support, 23savage will be hoping to take existing friendship with our team to fulfilling and an endless amount of potential.

It will be interesting to see how the team performs with these two players joining the squad and importantly, without Abed.
