Leslie Jones, comedian, and star of the all-female 2016 Ghostbusters reboot, is not happy about the news that a Ghostbusters 3 revival is happening. Taking to Twitter, Leslie Jones slammed the planned sequel to the 1984 and 1989 original movies, comparing it to something Donald Trump would do.
It was recently revealed by Jason Reitman (son of the director of the original movies, Ivan Reitman) that he would be reviving the franchise, with a third movie. The yet-to-be-name third instalment is planned to be set in the same world as the original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II movies, which starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and the late Harold Ramis.
Now, Leslie Jones, who was part of the all-female cast of the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot, has voiced her frustration over Jason Reitman’s planned project. She called the upcoming movie a “dick move” and feels offended by how it appears like the 2016 reboot “[didn’t] count“. The comedian went on to compare the planned Ghostbusters 3 movie to something that Donald Trump would do.
So insulting. Like fuck us. We dint count. It’s like something trump would do. (Trump voice)”Gonna redo ghostbusteeeeers, better with men, will be huge. Those women ain’t ghostbusteeeeers” ugh so annoying. Such a dick move. And I don’t give fuck I’m saying something!!

Whether or not Sony will take Leslie Jones’s frustration into consideration, remains to be seen, with the planned Ghostbusters 3 movie set to be released in mid-2020. Jason Reitman has even released a very short tease of the planned movie. The teaser features the iconic Ghostbusters car in an eerie looking shed, somewhere and sometime unknown.

Leslie Jones’s Donald Trump analogy comes after Jason Reitman noted that he has “so much respect” for the 2016 movie and the “brilliant actresses“, but still plans to make a revival Ghostbusters movie.
