The Cyberpunk 2077 card game is real and will be launching sometime in 2020 to go hand-in-hand with the much-anticipated video game release.
Dubbed “Cyberpunk 2077 – Afterlife: The Card Game”, players will take on the role of Fixers, people in Cyberpunk that hire cyberpunks to do jobs for them. You will draft cards to help you complete missions which will raise your Street Cred until you win the game.
The Cyberpunk Card Game has been created in collaboration between CMON and CD Projekt RED. It has been designed by Eric M. Lang who was the mind behind other popular card games like Blood Rage and Bloodborne: The Card Game.
Lang revealed he is a huge fan of Cyberpunk and he played has played the board game since the first edition. He has also kept up with the franchise through the years and this adaption to a video game is the perfect opportunity to bring a card game to life too.
No word on an official release date for the Cyberpunk card game as of yet but CMON states it will release sometime in 2020. Perhaps sometime after the video game release on 16 April 2020. For more on Cyberpunk, check out 29 New Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Details Revealed During Latest Demo.
