If you thought that one version of Borderlands 3 was enough, then think again. Gearbox Software seems to be planning on releasing four editions of Borderlands 3 when it lands on 13 September 2019.
Although the release date has yet to be confirmed, everything, including leaks and reports points to a 13 September 2019 launch day. Along with the standard edition of the game, Borderlands 3 will also release alongside a Deluxe Edition, a Super Deluxe Edition and a Collector’s Edition too.
The leaked box art revealed these four different versions of the game. On the cover, we have a holy interpretation of a psycho holding up three fingers and a saw blade while surrounded by roses with guns in the background a holy grenade in his chest and his halo is the vault logo.
The box art is quite impressive indeed and could be the best in the series. The three versions of the game have different backgrounds with the standard edition blue, the deluxe edition red and the super deluxe edition gold. As for the Borderlands 3 Collector’s Edition, Gearbox will be releasing a similar pack as they did for Borderlands 2.
The Borderlands 3 Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition will include the following:
- Diamond Loot Chest Replica
- Sanctuary 3 Snap Model
- 10 Character Figurines
- 5 Character Art Lithographs
- 4 Vault Key Keychains
- Cloth Map of the Galaxy
- Borderlands 3 Game
- Steelbook Case
- Season Pass
- Deluxe Bonus Content
- Gold Weapon Skins Pack
Although no pricing has been revealed of this edition, it is packing a lot so expect to fork out a wad of cash for it. Gearbox will be releasing all this information later this afternoon along with the release date.
Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition also releases today for PS4 and Xbox One and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will also receive its 4K UHD update sometime today too.
