If you have not watched Avengers: Endgame yet then you have at least seen the images and memes of Fat Thor online by now. Thor takes a turn for the rough in the film and ditches his six-pack for a six pack of beer and well, he is fat.
According to the special features for the Home and Digital release of Avengers: Endgame, we have been calling him by his wrong name the whole time. Fat Thor is actually called “Bro Thor” in the official Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The special features claim to go behind the scenes to see how “Bro Thor” was created and his appearance has changed but his heroism remains.
So there you have it. Fat Thor is so May 2019. “Bro Thor” is the new way to address Chris Hemsworth’s chunkier and funkier Thor.
With the Home and Digital release of Avengers: Endgame taking place on 13 August 2019, there will no doubt be a load of new information revealed through its special features and deleted scenes additions.
However, the official trailer for the DVD release has already spoiled much of the film so if you have not watched Avengers: Endgame and plan on waiting it out then do not watch the trailer below. It reveals much of the film’s plot and characters, something that would have been impossible to avoid up to now.
The Digital and Home release of Avengers: Endgame begins to roll out on 30 July 2019 with iTunes and Google Play. The DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K UHD release is scheduled for 13 August 2019.
