Steam Armistice Sale Offers Up To 75% Discount on Selected Titles

Steam Armistice Sale

War Child, a UK-founded charity organisation is running its third fundraiser to aid children that have been affected by war. Funds raised by the initiatives are used to provide things like education, psychological help, skills training, removing children from war zones, and legal assistance. This year, PC gaming’s biggest distribution platform is jumping in to support War Child with the Steam Armistice Sale.

The Armistice Steam Sale fundraiser is back, promoting peaceful gameplay in support of children still affected by war today. This year marks 100 years since the armistice that ended the First World War, so War Child has pulled together a bunch of the best-selling games to mark the occasion that are either non-violent or have been modified as part of this year’s Armistice campaign.

You can grab the beautiful RiME at 50% discount for R159.50. It’s a single-player puzzle adventure game played in third-person view. It’s a story about discovery, experienced through the eyes of a young boy who awakens on a mysterious island after shipwrecking off its coast. If you’re up for a challenge, then there’s the highly acclaimed Talos Principle – available at 75% discount for R102.25. Critics and fans praised it for its exceptional puzzle designs and engaging narrative.

Another exploration game you should consider playing is ABZU. Not only does the world look breathtaking but it also offers an unusual gaming experience. You play as a diver but the game isn’t about diving but rather aims to portray that feeling of tranquillity, wonder, and dreaminess one gets when diving. You can grab it at half price for R109.50. Remaining with adventure games, the Steam Armistice Sale offers eight Broken Sword games at 60% discount per game.

One of the best puzzle games you’ll ever play, The Room, is also on the sale, and you can grab it for only R13.75! The last game I want to highlight is Machinarium, a point-and-click puzzle-adventure by Amanita Design. Yours for only R36.60.

Each of the games on sale offers a percentage of their proceeds to War Child. Below is the complete list of every game on the Steam Armistice Sale.

  • ABZU (505 Games) – Donating 50% of developer proceeds / Discounted by 50% – R109.50
