First Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Live Event Will Kick Off Next Week

Odyssey live event

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey took the franchise to new heights and honestly, it feels like the game can stand toe-to-toe with The Witcher 3. It is simply that good. Ubisoft has some big post-launch content plans and this week, the first Odyssey live event was supposed to kick off. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and if you were playing Odyssey on Tuesday, you might have noticed a live event pop up and disappear.

The first live event features Damias the Indifferent, the first Epic Mercenary that players can hunt down. However, it seemed that Damias ran away, clearly fearing the misthios. Don’t worry though, was Damias will be back next week. I, for one, can’t wait to find him, kill him and take his loot all for myself.

On the game’s official Twitter, the developers shared the following message accompanied by an image which you can view below.

PSA: This week’s live event was canceled – apologies for the inconvenience.

Rumor has it that Damais bailed at the very last minute. Apparently, he was intimidated by the idea of facing the misthios. He’ll give you a fair fight as soon as we track him down.

I m still making my way through the massive, expansive main story all while trying my best not to get distracted too much by the awesome side activities. Even after roughly 40 hours of game time so far, there’s just so much to do that I almost feel as if live events aren’t needed at all right now.

For those who might have progressed quite far into the game, the live events will surely be something great to enjoy. Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey live events will rotate weekly between Epic Mercenaries and Epic Ships. These events are tailored for players level 30 and above (roughly 26 hours into the game by my estimates).

For completing the live events, players will receive the special Orichalcum currency. You can expect to find the first Odyssey live event on a message board near you come 23 October.

Check out our video review below and tell us how many hours you are into your Odyssey right now.
