When specific games release they all get a specific amount of budget that publishers get to splurge on specific things. Sony was kind enough to send us an awesome Spider-Man backpack filled with all sorts of awesome things (check the video below) and this is one of those things that cost marketing budget. However, sometimes games get a little more budget than expected and things like throwing a bus into a lake can happen and the results are awesome.
To celebrate the release of Spider-Man, which came out yesterday and I hope you’re playing it, Sony tossed a bus into a lake in Milan’s Darsena lake. This is an artificial lake in the centre of the city and if you guessed it already, the bus is covered in webbing as Spider-Man himself managed to web it up before it actually went into the deep end of the pond.

The news comes via DualShockers who recieved cool images of the bus leaning into the lake off the side of the walkway and looks like it was about to take a plunge and drown everyone inside if it was not for Spider-Man coming to the rescue and webbing the bus safely to the side of the concrete. We think this is a pretty cool marketing push and probably the best we have seen for the game yet. Yes, it even beats the New York Hyper Train that was completely reskinned with Spider-Man logos and taped in red graphics too. Something about a bus plunged into a lake is just a lot more dramatic.
