Dota 2 Kuala Lumpur Major Teams Mostly Decided

Kuala Lumpur Major Teams

Early this month, we reported on the announcement of the Kuala Lumpur Major. This tournament is the first major of the new Dota Pro Circuit season and since the announcement, all the qualifiers have finished up. Now, we know who the Kuala Lumpur Major teams will be, except for one.

Fifteen out of the sixteen teams are now decided after some extremely gruelling qualifiers. The last spot will go to the DreamLeague Season 10 winner but that tournament only finishes up in early November, with the grand finals set for 4 November 2018. With that in mind, we’ve decided to list the 15 teams already qualified.

Check out the Kuala Lumpur Major teams below, sorted by their region of qualification. Then, you can also check out the Grand Finals of each qualifier thanks to videos captured by DotA Digest.

Europe:

  • Team Secret
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • Alliance

China:

  • PSG.LGD
  • Vici Gaming
  • Team Aster

CIS:

  • Virtus.Pro
  • Ferzee

North America:

  • Evil Geniuses
  • Forward Gaming
  • Marchoutofarmy

South America:

  • PaiN Gaming
  • PaiN X

South East Asia:

  • Fnatic
  • TNC Predator

With only one slot left, the Kuala Lumpur Major already seems quite stacked. However, there are some interesting new teams thrown into the mix as well. From the qualifiers, PSG.LGD (The Interanational 2018 finalists) look extremely strong and they are my personal favourite pick going into the tournament. Evil Geniuses also had a dominating performance and let’s not forget about Team Secret, who looks extremely strong in their own right.

However, all eyes will probably be on Virtus.Pro, who dominated the Major tournaments last season but failed to make it to the grand finals of The International 2018.

Which team are you backing for the Kuala Lumpur Major and do you think Virtus.Pro will be able to dominate again this DPC season? Let us know in the comment section below.
