Need for Speed Payback PC requirements revealed – Does your PC have enough horsepower?

[media:51718]

The latest system requirements for EA's upcoming Need for Speed Payback have been revealed and point to some pretty high specs for the game. While there are no 4K requirements at the moment, we can only guess what sort of power your PC will need to reach the higher resolution, let alone 60FPS at 4K.

While Origin's system page still has no requirements up, NVIDIA spilt the beans on the required specs for the game. There are no AMD specs given that it was NVIDIA's announcement, but you can guess what the equivalent would be if you were to own an AMD card. This is what you will need to run Need for Speed Payback.

Minimum Requirements For 720p30 At Low Settings:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or later
  • CPU: Intel i3 6300 @ 3.8GHz or AMD FX 8150 @ 3.6GHz with 4 hardware threads
  • RAM: 6 GB
  • Disc Drive: DVD ROM drive required for installation only
  • Hard Drive: 30GB
  • Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti or GTX 1050, or equivalent
  • DirectX: 11 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Input: Dual analogue controller
  • Online Connection Requirements: 192 KBPS or faster Internet connection

Recommended Requirements For 1080p60 At High Settings:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
  • CPU: Intel i5 4690K @ 3.5GHz or AMD FX 8350 @ 4.0GHz with 4 hardware threads
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Disc Drive: DVD ROM drive required for installation only
  • Hard Drive: 30GB
  • Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, or equivalent
  • DirectX: 11 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Input: Dual analogue controller
  • Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection

While these are only 1080p specs, we take it you would need a good GTX 1070 or 1080 to run the game in 4k with perhaps double the RAM count too. This would get even more expensive if you are looking to reach 60FPS at 4K. While NVIDIA did not reveal the 4K requirement, they do, however, mention that you should have a 1070 GTX, 1080, or 1080 Ti to “further increase your graphical fidelity”. The specs are not too hectic for 1080p 60FPS, but if you want to see the game running even better then you might want to upgrade some things.

Need for Speed Payback releases on 10 November for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Take a look at this gorgeous 4K trailer below.
