FIFA 18 is out today across the globe and while I am still trying to get through the game's best features and modes to give you my full verdict on the game, I thought I would share what others are saying about it, in case you are thinking about picking it up. Across the web, we have seen some great reviews of the game saying that while it is not a giant step, it is enough to make it feel like something new and exciting. Here is what the critics have to say about it.
A story-mode sequel takes the spotlight in a deep and enjoyable sports fantasy
But FIFA 18 is still seductively deep and delivers excitement. It gave me the feeling that there is still so much to learn about what appears to be a rather straightforward sport, and that the game would gladly help me understand. This is always the time of year when I ask myself why I don’t just spend all of my time playing FIFA, and FIFA 18 poses the question more forcefully than ever. Read full review

FIFA 18 is the best FIFA game ever made. It’s that simple.
FIFA 18 is simply magnificent. Streets ahead of what came before, and continuing its dominance over its rivals, EA has done a superb job. With huge improvements across the board, this is the game FIFA fans have waited five years for. While the offline offering may continue to lack the depth of NBA 2K18, but the continued improvements each year have culminated in a brilliant game this year. Read full review
The Perfect Game for the Busy Man
FIFA 18 has put a little life in my gaming life, presenting me something to look forward to at the end of the day when everyone settles down and the XBox One gets fired up. I may never again be able to consume video games as voraciously as I once did, but perhaps I can make up for volume with quality. Read full review

All-out attacking overshadows defensive stability in a spectacular but shallow game
Ultimately, FIFA 18 introduces enough new ideas to suggest it’s not sitting on the laurels of its success. However, it’s a simplified experience, one that fails to embrace the complexity of football at the highest level. Its focus on attack makes for spectacular matches, but they often feel like extravagant offensive training sessions than a proper match with depth and strategy. Read full review

It's a polishing year for FIFA; but after a couple rough entries, that's a good thing.
So whatever you want to call it—getting back to basics, a polishing year—FIFA feels as solid as ever to me, much as it has for the better part of the last decade. It took me a bit, but I think I've found my latest nutty FIFA challenge: I'm going to try and get the San Jose Earthquakes from the English Championship to the European Champions League. Seems fitting for an entry that is so weirdly America-centric. – Read full review

The best footballing package available, with myriad improvements – yet still unlikely to convert fans of the opposition.
Even if you only focus your attention on The Journey 2 and twice-daily Squad Challenge matches in Ultimate Team (which, by the way, gets a genuinely intuitive web app this year that makes Squad Building Challenges even more addictive), FIFA 18 offers remarkable value. PES fans will steadfastly refuse to let it darken their doors, but that’s been the case since the PS2 years. Ultimately, it’s a monster season for both big football games. One where, unlike in Manchester, Glasgow or North London, everybody wins. Read full review
