How 2 Pokémon GO Trainers beat the legendary Moltres

Last month, Niantic (tried to) celebrate Pokémon GO's first Anniversary with a massive global event. Things didn't GO as planned, and Niantic is even facing a possible class-action lawsuit. Despite the troubles, Niantic decided to release the long-awaited legendary Pokémon in the game, with the first three being Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos. Moltres is currently the one to hunt, and you have only until August 7th to catch it. Niantic advises a team of 20 to beat Moltres, but if you have mad skills, then you can take him down with just two Trainers.

The TheSilphRoad posted an impressive roadmap on how to beat Moltres but suggests you try it first with three top Trainers – and no disconnects. According to their Reddit guide, both Trainers have to use “11 Golems each (throw in an Omastar with Rock moves if you can),” to stand a chance at beating Moltres. However, as you'll see in the video at the end of the article, the duo (for the most part) beat Moltres by using over 20 Golems with the Rock Throw/Stone Edge combos.

And duo-able is theoretically possible, but will be extremely challenging. I highly doubt any pair has 6 powered up Golems or Legacy Omastars (I have one,” explained TheSilphRoad. The official Moltres guide suggests Trainers use a combination of rock-type, water-type, and electric-type Pokémon to beat the legendary who is a fire-type Pokémon.

This is how you do it with only two top-tier Trainers.
